Oven Inside
In the broiling operation, contacts 2 and 12 cycle the broil element at full power. The bake contacts 1 and 6 also cycle in the thermostat but the bake element is not connected to a circuit. The door lock contacts 3 and 4 are closed during the broiling operation.
The self-clean operation uses contacts 1 and 7 to cycle the bake element. The contacts cycle between 850 and 900°F while the oven is in the cleaning operation. The door lock contacts 3 and 4 open when the oven temperature has reached 550 and close at 500°F.
Caution: Do not break the bulb or the capillary tube.

The self-clean thermostat bulb and capillary contents are dangerous to the eyes, skin, clothing, and combustibles. They contain sodium and potassium which produces the (sodium and potassium hydroxide). If the contents should conic in contact with the skin, remove all material with a dry cloth or towel, then wash with milk, soap, and water.
Regular oven thermostat the regular oven thermostat is a two-section assembly: a thermostat and a selector switch. The thermostat section is controlled by a sensor bulb and bellows in the housing and operates two cyclic- contacts. The selector switch section connects the element- to the proper circuit supply voltage. Both controls are operated by a single shaft.
In the baking operation, selecting a temperature the internal contacts in the circuit to heat both the bale element and the broil element. The broil element is heated to one-fourth its normal rated wattage value which is accomplished by providing half the normal voltage to the intern,. contacts. Note: The increased heat saturation improves the browning and the baking performance. The bake operation controls oven temperatures ranging from 150 to 500'F.
The broil position provides full power to the element. During the broil operation, the element glow red. During the bake operation, thermostat section contact is cycling. The selector switch section contacts 1 to 6 and F 7 are closed. The bake element circuit is provided with full age (240 volts ac), while the broil element circuit to one-half full voltage (120 volts ac).
